General terms and conditions
The compounds and pellets supplied by us have the limited shelf life and maintain the values of the properties stated in the TDS only if you meet the storage and handling requirements and if you provide the proper prior preparation of the compositions to be processed.
The processing conditions according to the TDS are recommendations and can be custom-made according to the end processer`s needs depending on:
- the common production culture of the processer;
- the peculiarities of machines manufacturing methods;
- the performance of production tools;
- the cleaning state and preliminary preparation quality of extrusion dies and injection moulds;
- the cleaning state and maintenance quality of extrusion and moulding machines;
- the total technical state of extrusion and/or moulding peripheries of production machines;
- the working order and the general state of internal communications and infrastructures;
- the cleaning state and microclimate of production rooms.
The end processer of the compound and pellet is fully and irreversibly responsible for the quality of the preliminary preparation of the compound to be processed and having an open dialog with the detailed description of `peculiarities` of their own production prior to developing a recipe, homologation, laboratory and industrial samples of granulated compositions.
The processer is irreversibly responsible for providing a detailed and maximum easy-to-understand technical assignment to develop the composition and describing the desired properties in numeral values including measurement units and measurement methods. Besides, before developing the recipe, you shall inform us about:
- the wear-out rate of screw pairs, extrusion dies and/or injection moulds;
- hardware implementation of material feeding;
- possibilities to dry the material and technically possible drying conditions;
- need to process it with superconcentrates, masterbatches, mixed with other compounds and recycled materials;
- current processing modes of the existing compounds used.
The compound and pellets must be transported into the production room where it will be processed and left for a minimum of 12 hours in the tightly sealed unopened original packages at the normal humidity, temperature, and the non-polluted atmosphere.
Before opening the package of the compound delivered (bags, bigbags, octobins), you should make sure that the room is clean and there are no external contaminants in discharging/handling/storage systems.
You should make sure that there are no contaminants in feeders, nozzles, pneumatic transport systems, conveyer screws, drying machines and silos, transporting systems of suction boxes as follows:
-dust;
-metal chips
-inorganic impurities;
-traces of organic impurities;
-condensed moisture;
-rests of earlier used materials
Before discharging and feeding the material, you need to measure the moisture level in the granulate.
Moisture content in the compound can change when storing and transporting, especially at high humidity and high atmosphere temperature. If the package is not tightly sealed or damaged, the granulate tends to absorb moisture very quickly. Multiple cycles of drying the granulate due to the working activity of the processer, long storage period, increased humidity at the warehouse and at the processer`s factory workshop can make the material degrade and worsen the compound properties.
You can store the compound not more than 6 months from the production date and the shelf life can change if there`re not proper storage and handling conditions and if the original package is damaged or opened.
After opening the original package and carrying out the initial check, you need to process the compound completely withing 48 hours. If it is not possible for you to process the whole volume of the opened material, you need to provide the tightly sealed package of the container and keep it away from moisture sources and contaminants. First of all, the whole volume of the earlier opened container needs to be processed according to FIFO`s principles.
When you receive the commercial batch of the compound, you need to carry out laboratory tests and arrange its initial check and do a test processing not later than 72 hours from the compound receipt. If you reveal some deviations from the values in the TDS, you should let us know as soon as possible and connect your persons who are responsible for processing with our recipes developers to have open discussions.
The compound must be stored in indoor roofed rooms within the stable temperature range and away from high humidity sources. The material must be stored in dry and well-ventilated rooms at the storage temperature of 20 °C +\- 2,5°C.
